Viva #3 is the third boat in a series of 3 hulls of the same shape. The hull is cedar strip but glassed on the outside with an epoxy mixture containing graphite powder. The graphite adds abrasion resistance. The hull when sanded will have a dark gray matte finish. The inside is finished bright. She is 19' 7'' LOA. LWL is variable depending on weigh of rower. This boat has a lot of rocker and rides up and over most waves. I rarely take on any water in these boats. This boat is unfinished . I intend to finish this boat like VIVA 1. The decks will be full. Trim will be douglas fir. Without flotation or decks this boat weighs an estimated 24 Lbs. I intend to use a Piantedosi RoWing rigger and Piantedosi oars. This boat can also be rigged with a device to lock the oar blades flat on the water to provide stability for fly fishing.
